Why inland transport is costly in Indonesia

There is lots of hard evidence (for example, in this World Bank report) to show that by comparison with similar countries, Indonesia’s ports and other logistics industries are hugely inefficient. It’s all about having the capital and skills needed to make labor more productive. This short video taken at the old Sunda Kelapa port in Jakarta suggests that both may be lacking.
